A Dream That Started With One Birthday Party
It started with a birthday party for a little girl in Bengaluru — a simple celebration that Founder & CEO Sandhya Nahar planned from scratch using hand-sourced balloons, fresh flowers and sheer determination. When the child's eyes lit up, Sandhya knew she had found her calling.
Sandhya launched BookMyDecoration in 2019 from a small home studio in Bengaluru. Her first year saw just 40 events, every single one delivered personally with heart and precision. Word spread organically through WhatsApp groups, Instagram shares and glowing Google reviews. By 2021, BookMyDecoration had become the most recommended birthday decoration service in the city.
Today BookMyDecoration is a full team of 25+ passionate decorators, designers and event coordinators serving Bengaluru and beyond. We have completed over 2,000 celebrations — from intimate home setups for 10 guests to grand venue transformations for 500 — with the same attention to detail that Sandhya brought to that very first party in 2019.

Sandhya Nahar is the creative force and driving spirit behind BookMyDecoration. With a background in design and an innate love for celebrations, she personally oversees every signature decoration theme and ensures that no two setups ever look the same. Her motto: "If it does not give goosebumps, it is not done."
Before launching BookMyDecoration, Sandhya spent years honing her skills in event styling and interior design, working with families across Bengaluru. In 2019, she channelled all that experience into creating unforgettable birthday celebrations that leave children — and parents — breathless.
Under Sandhya's leadership, BookMyDecoration has grown from a one-person operation to a team of 25+ professionals, completing 2,000+ events and earning a 4.9-star Google rating. 70% of clients are repeat customers — a testament to the trust and love she has built with every family she works with.

Surviving COVID-19
The pandemic tested us hard. We pivoted to home micro-events and outdoor setups during lockdowns, completing 80 events in the toughest year of our lives.
Word of Mouth Explosion
Organic WhatsApp sharing and 5-star Google reviews drove 300+ events. First team members hired. Launched Princess, Superhero and Unicorn signature themes.
Going Premium
